The ESPN+ Product Marketing Intern will assist the ESPN+ marketing team with the development, creation, delivery, and process management for marketing materials within the ESPN+ product ecosystem and customer journey, as well as those that promote product features and functionality to prospects. Successful candidates are comfortable working across a broad swath of teams, managing a variety of stakeholders and their goals, priorities, and expectations. This role will bring an analytical perspective, and demonstrate comfort taking ownership of projects and processes in a dynamic and evolving team and broader organization.

Disney Streaming Services (DSS) is a business unit within The Walt Disney Company’s Direct-to-Consumer and International (DTCI) segment that oversees all consumer-facing digital video subscription services across the company. Disney Streaming is responsible for developing and operating The Walt Disney Company’s direct-to-consumer video businesses globally, including the ESPN+ premium sports streaming service, programmed in conjunction with ESPN; the Disney SVOD service, Disney+; and BAMTECH Media, a global leader in direct-to-consumer video streaming products and solutions. Its core mission is to deliver global audiences the freedom to access content on their terms across any connected device, time or location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Disney Streaming Services and ESPN Product teams to understand product roadmaps, prioritize and evaluate new work that will enhance marketing capabilities, and build out new experiences to enhance the customer experience

  • Interface with Disney Streaming Services and ESPN creative teams to request, track, and ensure on time delivery of market-ready creative assets that will live across purchase funnels, marketing landing pages, in-app and on-channel experiences, etc.

  • QA creative assets to ensure they align with both the initial brief, as well as with product constraints

  • Provide feedback on brand and sport-specific campaign materials to ensure product representation is accurate and effectively translates the value added for the consumer

  • Collaborate with Acquisition, Lifecycle, Brand, and Campaign Strategy marketing teams to ensure consistency across consumer touchpoints, and ensure users are being driven to the most effective product / marketing destination

  • Balance competing priorities from across marketing, performance, product, and business teams to bring to life most effective experience while continuing to manage realistic timelines

  • Build & collaborate on user experience and messaging strategies to align with differing audience cohorts and segmentation priorities

  • Assist with reporting as needed, including compiling ESPN+ in-market creative executions, competitive landscape creative, product reviews & performance, and progress toward execution of strategic initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Process-oriented with a strong attention to detail and timelines

  • Strong proficiency with language, including written and verbal communications

  • Basic understanding of product workflows and technical capabilities – both app and web

  • Basic understanding of digital communications, advertising channels and technologies

  • Adaptable, can embrace both change and ambiguity while continuing to drive projects forward

  • High degree of comfort and proficiency working with spreadsheets and building presentations

  • Self-starter with a bias toward collaborative problem-solving
